We often get asked for advice on how to create a good profile to increase the chances of attracting potential leads. So, we thought we would cover this in this month's newsletter. So let's get straight to it.

There are several key pieces of information that we would strongly recommend you ensure are completed on your profile so you are making the most of being registered on the directory.
These are:
Introduction - this is probably the most important piece of information you can enter because when your profile appears in search results the first part of your introduction is displayed. Here you have your first opportunity of enticing the visitor to click on the link to view your profile page.
Profile picture - once a visitor has clicked on to your profile, they will be greeted with some basic details about yourself and they will be able to view your profile picture. It is always good if someone is able to put a face to a name. The profile picture also gives you the opportunity of setting a good first impression. A picture that makes you look friendly, helpful and professional can go a long way.
Keywords - these are important as they will help increase your chances of appearing in search results. The more specific the keywords the more likely you will attract visitors that will be interested in what you have to teach.
Prices - it's best practice to include your prices on your profile. There is no point not including these as it could result in you answering queries about your prices to then only find they decide to go somewhere else. Save yourself the time and just give it to the visitor straight.
Experience - here you have the opportunity to tell the visitor a little about your experiences within your discipline. If someone is going to learn a new skill then they will want to ensure that the person teaching them knows their stuff and is capable of delivering that knowledge in an effective manner.
Reviews - this is the second most important piece of information you could have on your profile. Nowadays most people will read the reviews on a product or service and often their decisions to purchase will be based on what the reviews say. Always encourage your students to submit reviews.
After you have completed your profile all you will need to do is ensure you keep it up to date should anything change.
